FAQ
Got a question? Hopefully the answer is here. If not, fill in the contact form at the bottom of the page and I'll reply as soon as I can.
Why is your jewellery not hallmarked?
At the moment in the UK there needs to be over 7.78g of silver in the piece for it to require hallmarking. I make sure to keep my pieces (where possible) below this limit. Hallmarking is also a lengthy and expensive process. My aim for my brand was to be accessible for everyone of every size, and by keeping under this limit and not requiring hallmarking, I am able to pass on this saving directly to you.
However, if you would like your Afon Mor Jewellery pieces hallmarked, please get in touch as I can get this arranged for you.
Is your sea glass natural?
Yes! Every piece that I use is found locally in Devon, UK. I'm always collecting sea glass when I see it, so if you've got a hidden treasure of a beach in the UK, let me know! I'd love to visit.
Do you take commissions?
I do! I really value client input when it comes to commissions. I will always be upfront and honest if a piece may be out of my technical ability, or out of the budget. If you have a crystal or piece of sea glass you'd like used in your piece then fantastic! If not, I can source one for you. If this is something you're interested in, please just drop me a message via the contact form at the bottom of the page, or DM me on Instagram or Facebook where you can see some samples of previous commissions!
Do you do memorial jewellery?
I do. I have done a few pieces with ashes and with hair, including some of my own dad's ashes as gifts for my mum and sister. It's a huge honour to be asked to create a memorial piece and I will work closely with you on the design and details you'd like included. Other things that can be included in memorial pieces include items such as fabrics and petals.
I also have experience working in resin, so if you'd like your jewellery to feature a one of a kind resin stone then this may be possible too.
